Frequently Asked Questions

...because some things we prefer to know before the visit.

No. For example, I can help you to stop smoking, but only if you want to, and not because your partner or spouse told you to. You have to want to make change in your life. So please do not call me to: “…please, make my son stop smoking”, because it does not work like that.

Usually, a session comprises of three parts.

After a brief introduction over the phone or an email we schedule the session and we meet at convenient time.

At the beginning we meet, greet and we talk about, what brings you here. What are the challenges that you are facing, and how would you like them to be resolved.

After we agree upon the solution, I will answer any remaining questions, you may still have and, when you are ready, I will induce the hypnotic trance.

At the end of the session, we will discuss what next. Sometimes, we need to meet more than once so we agree on when is the best to meet again. And more often than not, there will be something small, like a task for you to do. For example, if a person comes to me regarding fear of cats, I will ask them to test, how the sessions (usually it takes two) worked, look at the picture of a cat, watch a video, or even if person feels brave enough to go out and meet a cat in person somewhere.

uuuuuu Good question. I’m afraid there is no one universal answer to that. While some of us can almost fall asleep, others say they felt nothing, and many experiences between. It is an individual thing. I would say that the most common experience can be compared to daydreaming, where you forget about the world around you and go on the journey between your thoughts, just in this case I guide you where to go.

It depends on what we will work on, but usually it is between 1 and 6. Mostly up to 3 sessions. For example, fear of spiders (or other fears) usually takes 2 sessions to deal with, whilst weight management can take 3 or more sessions, as sometimes, people like to revisit me after a month or two.

Hypnosis by itself, is slightly different from Hypnotherapy, but it still can have beneficial effects for us. Hypnosis by itself can help to relax body, improve circulation, remove tension from your muscles, unwind your mind, and help you to be calm.

Hypnotherapy on the other hand is a use of hypnosis with a specific goal in mind. For example, we want to help with fear of …something, let’s say spiders. In such case we would use hypnosis to change the unhelpful “programming”, which causes you to behave in undesired way when seeing spider, into something more desirable. Since there are many “programs” in our mind, which control the way how we behave on a daily basis, hypnotherapy can be used in many cases to address unwanted behaviours into something more desirable.

I can, and I did. But now I don’t. Why? Because these sessions are long, 2-3, sometimes almost 4 hours long. And listening about how someone was cooking or cleaning house day in and day out for that amount of time is not very interesting - yes, not everyone was a Napoleon. But seriously, I believe in past lives, time between them and the Spiritism, especially in the light of Allan Kardec’s or Francisco Candido (Chico’s) Xavier’s works. However, I also believe that each of our lives is an independent adventure, aclean sheet of paper. And when for example, person already struggles and is overwhelmed by the current life’s experiences, then opening the window and looking at the past may add to the person’s already heavy burden. It is nice when the experience is nice, but when it is not, the session is over, spiritual healing is done, but memories stay with the person...

It rarely happens, but it can happen. That is why at the beginning of the session I make sure that you will wake up fine when needed and we can continue as soon as connection is back, or when connection is particularly moody, we can reschedule to another, more convenient time.

At some point. I’m working on it.

hmmmm… No. In the worst scenario, you fall into deep, natural sleep, after which you wake up just as you do every morning.
That is why it is advised against listening to hypnosis recordings when driving a car or whenever you need to be alert.

There are many forms of Hypnosis as well as Meditation.

Hypnosis has some unpleasant connotations attached to it, especially regarding losing control, where people believe that it is being used to manipulate others, make them do stuff they not necessary want to. On top of that some directors use these fears and uncertainties in their movies to scare the audience as an entertainment.

Meditation on the other hand …well, when you hear the word Meditation, what comes to your mind? Is it an innocent Monk, sitting calmly, in some monastery or some garden next to the lake, meditating, achieving inner peace? …Exactly.

So that is why people, in majority, are okay with Meditation, but when they hear the word Hypnosis, red light pops up in their head, and they just want to run away.

I do not know all the different kinds or names of either, Meditation nor Hypnosis, but based on those I know of, when person is being hypnotised, the mind is in a very similar state as it is during meditation. With the main difference being, during the hypnosis session, me, guiding person through their journey to achieve their goal.
