Injury recovery
Have you ever been to hospital, went through procedure or got injured? How long did it take you to recover? How did you feel during that period? Or are you still recovering? Have you ever wondered if there is a better way to get well? Is there a way to get body and mind on the same side and make them work together with medicine and activate your innate mechanisms to get you better sooner? I believe we can do that.
You see, recently I was diagnosed with kidney stones and went through a serie of Lithotripsy (ultra-sounds) procedures. Which I am very grateful for too my hospital. However, I did not leave everything to my doctors, I decided to employ the techniques I’ve learnt about body and mind connection. Before each procedure and between them I would use self-hypnosis techniques to improve the effects of the treatment. And my body responded nicely, of course I cannot compare to situation where I didn’t use the technique, but o the last visit, a brief conversation in a waiting room made me realise that in fact all my effort may have made a difference. On my last visit for the procedure, it was decided to confirm that stone is indeed gone by doing MRI. While I was waiting, another person appeared in a waiting room, and he said he also had the same Lithotripsy procedures before, but in his case, they didn’t work. And today he was scheduled for the surgery. It was a bitter sweet experience for me, on one hand I was happy that my kidney stones were gone, but on the other hand there was that man, who suffered so much. And that is why I am sharing this story, maybe it will change your approach and save you from pain which can be avoided.
I am not sharing my story to wow you, or promise you anything. I believe there is a real connection between our body and our mind. We have just forgotten about it, so often we treat our physical issues as mechanical problems, forgetting that our mind consciously and unconsciously plays a big role in our daily health.
